Maltsters Cottages

We are pleased to present these four charming cottages, originally built around 1902 when in the centre of Gloucester’s industrial activity.

Completely refurbished, the cottages will provide modern and flexible space in the ever popular Gloucester Docks. The flexible space can provide up to 4 bedrooms, or two double bedrooms plus a study (as part of the top floor master suite) and a second living room on the first floor (in addition to the ground floor kitchen / living floor).

The cottages each have their own courtyard accessed via the kitchen / living area. There are WCs on each floor, with the master suite on the top floor having a shower and bath and the first floor having a shower. We hope that you will like these cottages as much as we do.

Ground Floor

The entrance door leads you into your hall, providing access to the stairs and two doors into the kitchen /living area. The front to back kitchen / living area is divided into two parts:

The front portion overlooking High Orchard Street is laid out with the main kitchen units including a Bosch electric oven, ceramic hob, Bosch fitted microwave, integrated fridge freezer, integrated dishwasher, washer / drier and undercounter sink.

The rear portion provides living space, including a door to your private courtyard and small WC under the stairs.
The space between the front and back areas will be open and could provide shelving units.

First Floor

  • Formal living room and double bedroom or two double bedrooms

From the stairs you have access to the two good sized rooms on this floor. Both could be used as bedrooms – or as we depict here, the back room has been laid out as a more formal living room. The front room has direct access to a shower room with shower, WC and basin.

Second Floor

  • Master suite providing large double bedroom, a walk in wardrobe, bathroom with bath and shower, and a study or single bedroom.

The master suite floor is set out as a large double bedroom to the rear of the cottage. This will have a built in storage cupboard and walk-in wardrobe. Walking through this wardrobe will give you access to the good sized bathroom with both a bath and shower. Also as part of this floor’s master suite is a study area that has its own access to the bathroom. Alternatively it could be used as a separate bedroom.
